Day 01 : Arrive Thattekkad
Arrival at the Thattekkad Airport or The Railway Station, you will be received by our representative and escorted to the hotel. Check in at Hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel Thattekkad.

Day 02 : Thattekkad
We will continue with our birding at Urulanthanni, Signal station, Edamalayar Dam & its surrounding areas. We will also cover all the distinct eco-systems of Thattekkad - evergreen, dry deciduous, grasslands, riverine and the marshy lands during our birding trip. At night we will proceed for a stint of night birding for the nightjars. Overnight stay at hotel Thattekkad.

Day 03 : Thattekkad - Periyar
After breakfast proceed further to reach Periyar. Arrival at Periyar, check in the Hotel for some relax. Afternoon visit the sightseeing tour of Periyar. Late evening back to the hotel and enjoy dinner of Indian food. Overnight stay at Hotel in Periyar.

Later visit The Periyar lake, formed by the construction of the dam across the Uullaperiyar river in 1895, the lake harbours within itself a unique aquatic eco system. The numerous little islets in the lake are witness to the intricate inherent interrelationship among the terrestrial aquatic and subterranean life forms. A boat cruise on the lake is perhaps the best way to watch the wildlife in the reserve.

Day 04 : Periyar
Relax during the morning and then set out on a drive to Periyar in the afternoon of the day 04 of the Butterfly Week Tour Itinerary with Kerala Travel Tourism. On arrival at Periyar the tour representative assists you to check in at the forest lodge. Later in the evening go on butterfly tours to the greens close by. Periyar has a very rich butterfly population and you are likely to spot different butterfly species such as the Malabar Rose, Paris Peacock, Blue Mormon, Gladeye Bushbrown, Whitebar Bushbrown, Red Pierrot, Malabar Raven, Clipper, Tamil Catseye et al. Overnight stay at Hotel in Periyar.

Day 05 : Periyar - Munnar
Drive to Munnar, Enroute witnessing the Power House waterfalls. Afternoon at leisure to explore the area. Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar.

Day 06 : Munnar
After breakfast visit full day sightseeing tour of Munnar that includes Pothamadu, Devikulam, Pallivassal, Chithirapuram, Nyayamakad, Mattupetty, Rajamala, Echo Point, Eravikulam National Park, Power House Water Falls, Kundala, Anayirankal, Top Station, Marayoor, Cheeyapara, Meenuli, Chinaar Wildlife Sanctuary. Come back to hotel in late evening and enjoy dinner of Indian food. Overnight stay at Hotel in Munnar.

Day 07: Munnar - Ooty
After breakfast proceed further to reach Ooty. Arrival at Ooty, check in the Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Ooty.

Day 08 : Ooty
After breakfast visit the full day sightseeing tour of Ooty that includes Ooty Botanical Garden, Ooty Boat House Lake, Kandal cross Shrine, Temple of Ooty, Tiger Hill, Dodda Betta, Kalhatti water falls, Ooty Art Gallery. Late evening return in hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Ooty.

Day 09 : Ooty - Masinagudi - Mudumalai- Bandipur
fter half day of birding at Ooty looking for the Nilgiri Laughing Thrush, we will make our way through the Sirgur Ghats to Masinagudi. Mudumalai at the foot of the of the Nilgiris hills, is one the many reserves located within the forest belt between the Western Ghats and the Nilgiri Mountains. The terrain being varied with hills, valleys, ravines, watercourses and swamps, moist deciduous forests, dry deciduous forests and scrub forests is ideal birding country. Should see Jerdon`s Bushlark, Sirkeer Malkoha, Indian Blue Robin, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch, White-bellied Minivet, Yellow-billed Babbler, White-bellied Woodpecker, Large Cuckooshrike, Banded-bay Cuckoo, Thick-billed Warbler and Painted Bush Quail. Overnight stay at the Jungle Retreat

Day 10 : Mysore - Kokre Bellur, Ranganthittu
We will proceed towards Mysore & visit the famous heronry on an islands on the Cauvery River at the Ranganthittu Wildlife sanctuary. Rowing boat cruise enables view of Eurasian spoonbill, Black-crowned night heron, three species of Cormorant, River Tern and Thick Knee, and many others. Marsh crocodiles will also be seen. Also visit the remote village Kokre Bellur for the Nesting Painted Storks and Spot-billed Pelicans followed by birding at a nearby reservoir. On the evening, take the late evening flight to Kochi. Overnight stay at Hotel in Ranganthittu.

Day 11 : Depart Kochi
To Rollapadu looking for the Great Indian Bustard & Lesser Florican.
